Serving Stephenson County, the Senior Resource Center offers safe, reliable rides for seniors—helping you stay connected to appointments, errands, and community activities.

Pretzel City Area Transit – PCAT
In partnership with the Senior Resource Center, the City of Freeport offers accessible bus and van transportation throughout Stephenson County. Adults 60 years of age and older ride on a donation basis. Seniors must register with the Senior Resource Center for age verification to qualify for donation-based fares.
How To Schedule a Ride:
Call 815-235-7433 (RIDE) — preferably 48 hours in advance. Same-day service may be limited and is not guaranteed. Regular fares apply.

PCAT Service Hours:
- Monday–Friday: 6 a.m. to Midnight
- Saturday: 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- No service on Sundays
Helping You Get to Appointments
Out-of-County Medical Transportation
The Senior Resource Center provides out-of-county medical transportation for seniors at a reduced rate.Pricing:
- Monroe, WI & Rockford: $75 round trip
- Madison, WI & Chicago: $125 round trip
Financial assistance may be available for those who qualify.
