Yoga class returns to Wednesday mornings, starting at 8:45 a.m., at the Senior Activity Center.  The class is led by Dr. Julie Smith. Increased endurance, strength, flexibility, and relaxation are some of the proven benefits of yoga. Bring a yoga mat or towel with you to class. The fee for this class is $5 and will be collected at the start of each session.

Memory Cafe Meeting

The Memory Café will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at the Senior Activity Center.  Please call Stacy at 815-235-9777, ext. 258, with questions. The meeting is for those who have mild to mid-stage Alzheimer’s disease or dementia and their care partners.

Bridge Class Starts

Basic Bridge, a Highland Community College Lifelong Learning Class, starts at the Senior Activity Center from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28.  Cost is $25 per person.  The class introduces people to bridge and is for beginners with no bridge experience.  Class content includes basics of bidding and play.  A book will be provided.  Register with Highalnd by Jan. 21 by calling (815) 599-3403.
