Yoga class is held on Wednesday mornings, starting at 8:45 a.m., at the Senior Activity Center. Class will not be held on Feb. 27 or March 6. The class is led by Dr. Julie Smith. Increased endurance, strength, flexibility, and relaxation are some of the proven benefits of yoga. Bring a yoga mat or towel with you to class. The fee for this class is $5 and will be collected at the start of each session.

Big Read Documentary

A documentary presentation related to this year’s NEA Big Read book, “The Latehomecomer,” will be held on Thursday, March 21, at 1 p.m. at the Senior Activity Center.  The documentary is titled “Being Hmong Means Being Free and the Place Where We Were Born.”  The free presentation is open to the public.

The Senior Resource Center and the Stephenson County Genealogical Society are forming the Monthly Genealogy Club.  It will meet from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month.  This month’s meeting will be Thursday, March 7, at the Senior Activity Center. The free group will discuss genealogy issues with others who may be able to provide guidance.  Professional genealogists lead the group.
