Through a partnership with the Senior Resource Center, the City of Freeport provides bus or van transportation throughout all of Stephenson County. Pretzel City Area Transit operates weekdays from 6 a.m. to midnight, Saturday from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., and no service on Sunday.

Seniors (60 & older): Donation-based. Note: Seniors must register with Senior Resource Center for age verification to qualify for donation-based transportation.
Regular adult fare: $3.00 for door-to-door service.
Adult fare outside Freeport: $6.00 each way.
Out of county medical: $25 round trip
Children’s fare: $2.00 (ages 7-11); Age 6 and under: donation based; Children under age 5 are required to have a car seat to ride.
Save with Punch Cards: 20 adult rides for $60 & 21st ride free; Children (12 & under) 20 rides for $40 and 21st ride free.
Exact change or a pre-paid ticket is required and can be paid on the bus in the fare box. Tickets can also be purchased at the Senior Resource Center.

Transport for medical purposes to Monroe & Rockford is available through volunteer drivers. Call 7 days in advance to schedule pickup. Based on volunteer availability.
