The Connect the DOTS (Doors of Team Support) Program is conducting a Busy Lives – Easy Meals, Slow Cookers and More! class from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at the Senior Activity Center. University of Illinois Extension, Nutrition and Wellness Educator, Diane Reinhold will cover many aspects of using your slow cooker. From the how’s and why’s, to timing, the cooking process, to what order you should layer foods when using your slow cooker, and if the shape of the slow cooker really does impact how quickly your meal is ready – you will learn it all. The free class is for all ages. Pre-registration is required by Oct. 26 by calling the University of Illinois Extension office at (815) 235-4125.
